Heavy rains and cyclonic wind gusts have left a trail of destruction that has torn the Hunter Valley community apart & resulted in the loss of three lives. It has brought down trees and power lines, moved houses from their stumps, cut roads, isolated people in their homes & shaken the community to its core. We know only too well the devastation suffered when environmental disasters impact on our communities. There are many synergies between the Latrobe Valley & the Hunter Valley so today we extend our support, thoughts, prayers & strength to our brothers & sisters in The Hunter.
We applaud your fighting spirit & stand with you in the days & months to come as you work towards recovery. From Morwell to Maitland and Traralgon to Telarah, know you have a friend in us.
