Dear Latrobe Valley Community

Morwell Neighbourhood House is pleased to invite you to join our compassionate & caring community as they assemble for a photo shoot that will reveal the human face of our Valley to Valley Campaign.

In recent weeks we have had messages books touring the Latrobe Valley. Our community have written heartfelt messages of support to our brothers & sisters in the Hunter Valley, as they start the long journey of rebuilding their community after the devastating floods that have impacted the area. The community photo shoot will allow us to put a Latrobe Valley face to those messages.

The Event Details are as follows:

Valley to Valley Community Photo

Where: Old Trafford Oval behind the Traralgon Recreation Reserve

(Access via Howitt Street Traralgon)

When: Sunday 24TH May
Arrival Time: 10:30am -11am
Photo Time: 11:15 – 11:30am

Community photo shoot to show our support of the Hunter Valley

Latrobe Valley, let us lend a helping hand to our sister the Hunter Valley, by showing them our support and care. Devastating floods have hit the region in the past few weeks. Like everything else in our Valley, we see the importance of people coming together and helping one another out of hardships.

The hunter region is almost identical to ours. They suffer the same economic struggles and natural disasters as we do, here in the Latrobe Valley.

We are inviting our entire compassionate and caring community to show their support to the Hunter Valley, by attending a photo shoot that will reveal the human face of our Valley to Valley Campaign on Sunday 24th May 2015, 11am.  The photo shoot will take place at the “Old Trafford Oval”, located behind the Traralgon Recreation Reserve.  Access via Whitakkers Road, Traralgon.

This is something we, as a community, can do to not only help them but show them support and love. So please join us, and we look forward to welcoming you there.  If you have any questions about this event, please call us on (03) 5134-5488 during business hours.  Thank-you.

We are collecting book donations for Lifeline

We are collecting book donations for Lifeline here at Morwell Neighbourhood House.  Lifeline Gippsland is asking the Gippsland community for book donations of all categories.  The 3 day book fair is a fundraising event to help support the vital Lifeline Gippsland 24 hour telephone crisis service 13 11 14.

If you are able to donate any books, please drop the books at anyone of our Lifeline shops in Churchill, Lakes Entrance, Moe, Morwell, Sale, Traralgon or Wonthaggi.  Please call (03) 5136-3500 for further information.

Community lunch at Churchill Neighbourhood Centre

There is a community lunch at Churchill Neighbourhood Centre coming up next week as part of the Neighbourhood House week celebrations.  We hope you’ll have a chance to drop in to Churchill Neighbourhood Centre.
