Snowstorm hits Morwell

http://morwellnh.org.au/snowstorm-hits-morwell/

On Saturday 23rd of August, a Snowstorm hits Morwell and it was a huge success.  With approximately 400 people passed through the doors during the event, raising the profile of Morwell Neighbourhood House in the local community.

At the event we had not only the freshly made snow, but also Koko the Clown, Hairspray, face painting, Avalanche dessert making sessions with Caked’licious, Black Betty the motorcycle for photos, BBQs, lolly guessing competition, a DJ with Karaoke, a BBQ and some fairy floss.

Morwell Neighbourhood House would like to thank the Social and Community Recovery sub-committee for their financial support.  It was their financial support which allowed the ball to get rolling with organising the whole Snow Day event.  We would also like to thank everyone who volunteered their time to help make the Snow Day a complete success.

Next time we hold an event at Morwell Neighbourhood House, we will once again be looking for volunteers.  If you want to get involved with our next event, let us know.  We love the help of volunteers.  Without volunteers, we could not organise and run these events.  Thank-you.
